The Europa-Universität Flensburg (EUF) is a public university in Flensburg, Germany. More than 660 academic and support staff are employed at the university, serving 6000 students. Of the student body, 7.2% come from an international background.

Sandra Frey
Sandra Frey has been part of the research and teaching staff of the Department of Philosophy at the Europa-University in Flensburg since 2018. Her research focuses not only on didactics of philosophy, but also on philosophy of mind, philosophy of culture, inter-/transcultural education and the philosophy of Baruch de Spinoza. Sandra brough her expertise to the design of the TRIP professional development programme for academics and support staff.

Judith Hanke
Judith Hanke is a doctoral candidate in the Institute for Special Education, in the Department of Inclusion and Development Support. Judith Hanke possesses expertise and holds a keen interest in Universal Design for Learning (UDL), choice boards, double didactics, and blended learning. Judith is a member of the Project Advisory Panel of TRIP and contributed to the design of the professional development course of support staff.

Carlotta Kühnemund
Carlotta Kühnemund has been a staff member of the Quality Management (QM) Department at the Europa-Universität Flensburg since September 2018. She has previously held the position of a research assistant in the programme coordination of Erasmus Mundus Master EMMIR at the University of Oldenburg. She graduated from a social sciences study program at the Carl von Ossietzky University Oldenburg. During her studies, she spent intensive research and study periods abroad in Portugal and Sweden. She is the Project Coordinator of TRIP at the EUF, providing her expertise in an organizational capacity for PR1, PR2, and PR3. She is also the Quality Management contact for PR3.

Katherine Rheinländer
Kathrin Rheinländer is academic manager and head of Continuing Professional Education (ZWW) at the Europa-Universität Flensburg. She initiated the “ReflActive Teaching” certificate at EUF. Kathrin has contributed to the design of all TRIP project outputs.

Marie-Christine Vierbuchen
Marie-Christine Vierbuchen has been Professor for Special Education in the field of Learning at the Europa-Universität Flensburg (EUF) since 2021. She focuses on the diagnosis of and support for learning difficulties, school-based inclusion, and teacher education for inclusion. Furthermore, she is interested in the contexts of ESD and digitalization in inclusive settings (e. g. DAAD project SEN-T3 with Iraqi universities, DYSMATE with Norway). Marie-Christine has contributed to the design of the TRIP professional development programme.

Michelle Witen
Michelle Witen is Junior Professor of English and Irish Literature in the Department of English at the Europa-Universität Flensburg. Her current research interests include 19th- and 20th-century British and Irish Literature, particularly within the contexts of music, interdisciplinarity, intermediality, and genetic criticism. Michelle performed as academic Project Leader for the professional development programme and contributed to the design of all project outputs.

Hedwig Wagner
Hedwig Wagner holds a professorship for European Media Studies at the Europa-Universität Flensburg (EUF), Germany, since 2016. Her main research foci are: Geo-Media; European Media Studies; Memory Studies: European discourses of commemoration; Interculturality in Academia and Gender and Media. She was also the German lead of the Erasmus+ Project: CODES: Communication, Cultural Diversity and Solidarity from 09/01/17 - 09/01/21 on discourses of interculturality and its construction in the professional field. Hedwig brought her expertise to the design of all TRIP project outputs.

Stephanie Stiegel
Stephanie Stiegel is Junior Professor of Ecology & Sustainability at the Institute of Biology and its Didactics at Europa-Universität Flensburg. Her teaching activities at the university include ecological topics (restoration ecology and ecosystem management) and education for sustainable development, including playful methods such as digital “Educational Escape Rooms” for sustainability teaching. Stephanie has contributed to the design and implementation of the Intercultural Virtual Societal Challenge (IVSC) e-module for students.

Inken Carstensen-Egwuom
Inken Carstensen-Egwuom is a feminist geographer working as a post-doctoral researcher at the Europa-Universität Flensburg. Based on her teaching practice in courses on Global Citizenship Education and Education for Sustainable Development in teacher education, she deals with curriculum development as well as research on these educational fields. Inken has contributed to the design and implementation of the Intercultural Virtual Societal Challenge (IVSC).

Marita McGrory
Marita McGrory works for the international office and EUF’s Statistics and Controlling department. She teaches research methods in the EUFs European Studies MA degree. Marita has contributed to the design of all the project outputs.
